Starlight Networks Receives New Funding
for Continued Growth


Mountain View, California, September 1, 1995 -- Starlight Networks, Inc., the leading provider of multimedia networking products, recently closed a financing of approximately $7 million. New investors in this round include Sequoia Capital, Applewood Associates L.P. (managed by GeoCapital, well-known multimedia investors), and Starlight's Japanese distribution partners Inno Micro Corporation and Net One Systems Co., Ltd. Additional investments were made by Starlight's current investors Accel Partners, Interwest Partners, Bass Associates, NYNEX Venture Co., Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre, Jostens Learning Corp., Star Venture Management, Techno Venture Management, Gilde Investment Funds, and Evergreen Ventures. Star Venture Management is the lead investor in this round.

Starlight's products support multimedia applications currently being deployed in Fortune 1000 companies, especially in financial services and retail markets, as well as in government and educational institutions. Applications include desktop and classroom training, distance learning, customer support systems, information delivery, multimedia information systems, corporate communications, and workgroup collaboration applications.
